The Alumni Healthy Food Event is back!
The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) Patient Alumni is pleased to hold a new food cooking demonstration, to continue to help its members achieve a healthier lifestyle.
This event is planned for Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at 5:30 PM in Tickers, the restaurant located on the main floor of the Heart Institute, 40 Ruskin Street. This presentation will feature salmon as main dish, following a seasonal salad as appetizer.
In this program we will be showcasing healthy recipes with a cooking demonstration. During the demo we will be talking about how the ingredients of these recipes are linked to heart health. The dishes will be distributed to the attendees so they may enjoy them on the premises.
The session will be given by Elamri Samir, Executive Chef for Marek Food, who will cook the featured recipes in front of you. Also present will be Kathleen Turner, the UOHI Registered Dietitian, to answer your questions.
Registration is only online and the cost of attendance is $20.00. Profits will go to the UOHI Foundation.
Attendees will receive parking vouchers for free parking in the parking lot across from the main entrance to the Heart Institute.
