The Canadian Congenital Heart Alliance (CCHA) is thrilled to present a physical activity event series specifically designed for individuals living with congenital heart defects. The CCHA has partnered with the National Capital Region YMCA to host the ‘Fearless Physical Activity’ events across the city throughout 2017 and early 2018.
These events offer a unique opportunity to connect wThe Canadian Congenital Heart Allianceith other individuals living with congenital heart disease in a fun and active way. It is also a great chance to learn a variety of ways to keep active with your family and friends, and discover community resources to help maintain an active lifestyle. On top of the active portion of the event we also include discussion sessions to learn tips and tools specifically tailored for physical activity and congenital heart disease. All participants are encouraged to bring family or friends along to participate. The activities included in the event are designed for everyone to enjoy, so whether you are looking to learn more about physical activity or already lead an active lifestyle, we have something for YOU!
We hope to see you at an upcoming event!
The next event in Ottawa will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 9 am – 12pm at the Bonnenfant Outdoor Recreation Centre (1620 Sixth Line Road, Dunrobin). This is a wonderful facility that allows us to explore the outdoors and showcase fun fall activities!
Secure your spot!
The event is free to attend, however, we ask that all those who plan on attending the event register online at http://www.cchaforlife.org/webforms/fearless-physical-activity-registration
