Building on the success of its January Food Cooking Demonstration, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Patient Alumni Association proudly carried on a follow-up event on April 25th, 5:30 pm, at Tickers restaurant.
Over 40 guests attended the Summer Cooking lesson. Chef Justin Scott, Executive Chef for Marek Food, demonstrated to guests how to prepare two delicious dishes, the Summerlicius Mediterranean Fish Fillets with Seasonal Vegetables, and Cocoa Nutty Energy Bites. He was assisted by Kathleen Turner, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Registered Dietician, who provided information and answered questions throughout the demonstration on how the main ingredients found in the recipes are linked to heart health. Generous portions of the colorful and exquisite dishes were served to guests for tasting on the premises. A feast!
